It's Been A While

It's been a while since I have posted, things have been a bit hectic lately.

Sadly my Father-in-Law passed away on 11th February after 3 months in hospital. What started off as a sore leg turned out to be an absess caused by a recurrance of the cancer that he fought 2 years ago. He ended up with septicaemia and multiple organ failure. He managed to fight that but unfortunately the cancer proved too much for him this time. He was such a character and he will be sadly missed by us all, especially Katie who was his best friend.

We are going down to Devon at Easter for my Aunts wedding. My Mum is being a bridesmaid for the first time at the age of 55. It has been a bit awkward co-ordinating thing when we live 500 miles apart but I'm sure it will all come together on the day. I am not looking forward to the journey though, 500 miles with 2 kids and one of them is Jessica!! We were supposed to be travelling on the Saturday throught he day but I think we might try to get the dog in to kennels a day earlier and travel through the night instead, at least that way the kids will be asleep for most of the journey.

A friend of mine got in touch with me to see if I wanted to take a stall at a country fair that she is organising with her work. I used to sell cards at craft fairs with another friend but we haven't done that for a few years but I think we will give it a go and try out a few other things as well. I'm going to try some paperbag books and decorated tins.

I did some photo storage tins for my Mum and Mother-in-law for mothers day yesterday and they went down very well. Katie made me a photo frame, a wee vase of flowers and a book mark and her and Jessica bought me a manicure and pedicure spa set.
